[A large part of the issue - most of it, probably - is that the Vision doesn't know what he wants, doesn't have the context to put his emotions and desires into words or actions. That isn't to say he hasn't thought about sex as an option (he has, a great deal), but it's much harder for him to tell if it's something he really does want when she's far away. Not to mention the mechanics of how it would even work, with him as he is--but a little very, very basic research had led him to a truth it seemed many men were too embarrassed to admit: a penis is not necessary for a woman's pleasure.
