seeingscarlet: (sleep; shippy; 074)

[And stay she does, meeting him in the kiss with equal eagerness, freely surrendering herself to him for the night. She doesn't want it to end, but she is only human and her body has other needs that can only be put off so long, especially as relaxed and content as she is. Eventually they wind up curled together, Wanda's head over his heart, and they sleep. She is far less troubled than he - if nothing else, she has learned that she can only live for now because everything can be taken from her in an instant. (Or in their case, her life is a fragile thing and she could easily be taken from him. It almost happened once, on that ill-fated expedition to Muspelheim.)

She can't imagine any of the Avengers would understand or approve of her actions, but with him she is seen and understood in a way no other living person can. No one else has magic like hers. And they were always drawn together, weren't they? Even were there not soulmates, she could not exist as she is had he not brought the Scepter to Earth.

She is his, as long as he'll have her. And maybe, just maybe, for a brief moment tonight he was hers.

Her dreams are peaceful, and when the sunlight wakes her she can't find the strength to move. She stirs only enough to use her powers to draw the curtains shut and snuggles closer. Hopefully this won't be the only time they're able to indulge in each other like this, but these softer moments with Loki are rare and always to be treasured.]
