[ nothing has felt safe in duplicity to jack since the first person disappeared without explanation. a 'glitch', the city calls it, but it means jack could be returned home at any second, to the hell that waits for him there. asking for this power to begin with was a large part protecting him should that possibility come to pass. so no, he doesn't feel safe. he'd rarely felt safe even before coming to this city.
even less so in patara, built into an extreme after he'd only barely gotten out of nissen's new public punishment with will's aid to keep strangers away from him when he'd been tied down. but none of that is stuff he wants to talk to anyone about, let alone a complete stranger. so, the better option - sarcasm. ]
Getting back to the apartments would require being in a small metal cube suspended between the Up and a floating island, locked in with some number of others.
Which, at the moment, sounds like a death trap with this power acting the way it is.
[She can't help but wonder just how much Bucky told him. But then again, maybe he won't protest so much if she tries to just knock him out for the ride.]
[ bucky'd mentioned wanda had been the one to remove the trigger words from his head, and when jack had said he needs another telekinetic, not a telepath, he'd told her she's "tele-both". such is the extent of jack's knowledge, and while he doesn't like the idea of someone in his head, it's better than an accidental massacre. ]
Most are distracted with Nissen's new public punishment game. I've had a few hours to calm, but I can't promise much.
[ it comes and goes, and jack's emotional control, outside of schooling his expression of them, is a joke. prior to the telekinesis kicking in, he could be screaming inside his head and no one would be able to tell. not so much anymore, as things start to explode instead. ]
I'm more worried about him than you. We should be all right if we can avoid him.
[He must have some kind of power if no one's managed to fight back, so this is going to be a stealth mission. Time to see how well Natasha's taught her.]
If you're safe, stay where you are and send me directions.
[ as requested, he sends her directions to one of the many private rooms in Patara that Jack’s hidden himself away in, door locked from the inside, but that shouldn’t be much issue for Wanda.
Once she steps in, it’ll be to a room that looks like a funhouse. Some pieces of furniture and decor are floating, some are vibrating in place, some shift erratically when the door opens, and there’s bits of shattered objects on the floor that hints some things have exploded or slammed into walls hard enough to break apart. Jack himself is seated on the floor in the far corner, watching the door warily, uncertain of the person that’s just come in, hoping it’s actually this Wanda person and not some unfortunate stranger. ]

No, it isn't.
Are you all right? Is anything floating that shouldn't be?
no subject
I'm alright, the room is not. I don't think anyone standing inside the room would be.
Floating, vibrating, shifting, yes. Exploding, now and again.

Where are you?

You can control it. But if you don't feel safe where you are it might be trying to protect you.

It might calm down if you're able to get home.

[There's no way around it, is there?]
I can come get you if you need.

Would you be able to control my powers with your own long enough to get through the elevator ride?

If you can help me make it through the elevator ride, I can get to the Dominant apartments.
no subject
I hope I can get to you. Is it any quieter today?
